Hi!
Unknown realm errors will occur if you access your episerver site using another url then the one that the episerver site url.
Example, you install episerver and the episerver site url is http://mymachine:17000.
Then you access it using http://localhost:17000
You can configure ImageVault to accept multiple bindings using the following instructions.
You can either file a bug report with episerver support or specify some more details about your error.

The error message states that the Leadtools assembly cannot be loaded (BadImageFormatException). The ImageVault core service uses the leadtools dlls and those are distributed in both 32 and 64 bit versions. If the service is running in 32 bit mode and the 64 bit versions of the leadtools assemblies are present (or the other way around) this error can occur.
Normally the installation program recognizes if the server is 32 or 64 bit and copies the correct assemblies to the core instance folder.
You can check the bitversion of the leadtools dlls by inspecting the ProductName property of the dll. (right click dll, properties, details)(64 bit versions is named "Leadtools for .NET (x64)" and 32 bit versions are named "Leadtools for .NET (win32)").
All dll:s that the installation program uses are in the application files folder and if you have the incorrect versions in your core instance folder (c:\imagevault\core\[instance name]) you can copy the correct ones from the application files folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\EPiServer\ImageVault\[version]).
You can use the manual installation instructions http://imagevault.se/en/documentation/api-documentation/?page=installation/manual-installation/core.html to check which leadtools dlls should be copied where.
If the installation program has copied the wrong leadtools dlls, please file a support issue with EPiServer so we can fix that bug.
Ps. Also make sure that you have Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package installed (of the correct bit version) (see prerequisites http://imagevault.se/en/documentation/api-documentation/?page=installation/installation-prerequisites.html). Ds.
