In this thread it's said "I will write up the enhancement to include an A\B testing user group into the package". I can't find any information about this, did it ever happen? We have the same use case, an admin that's in charge of marketing would like to be the only one handling the A/B testing. We don't want to rely on the suggested "hacky dojo" solution in the post.
