Bootstrap integrated with EPiServer 7 CMS

Hi there,

I am wondering if EPiServer can be integrated with Bootstrap framework to create templates?

If so, anyone has any suggestions? Is the Alloy sample site using Bootstrap framework to design?

Thanks!

Yes - Alloy sample is using Bootstrap

Web Form Templates

http://world.episerver.com/Articles/Items/ASPNET-MVC-Templates-for-EPiServer-7-CMS/

I started with the Alloy MVC

MVC Templates

http://world.episerver.com/Download/Items/EPiServer-CMS/EPiServer-7---CMS/EPiServer-7-MVC-Templates/

Using the MVC I then looked at structure and built a site to a custom bootstrap grid of 24 based on design.

The main things to look for are in global.cs

e.g.

  • ContentAreaWidths
  • ContentAreaTagWidths (Dictionary)
  • ContentAreaTags

You will also have to extend Resources\LanguageFiles\EditorHints.xml for preview sizes.

You can extend and change all of these as well as creating a custom bootstrap for your design

http://twitter.github.io/bootstrap/customize.html

Hope that helps to get you started.

If you are using Bootstrap v3 - this package may become handy.
