Pre-Populate DataStore in Global.asa or Similar

Guys,

I want to be able to prepopulate all of my datastores in the global.asa or similar.

How best is this done?  Tried adding a routine to the DataStore and calling it from the Global.asa but DynamicDataStoreFactory.Instance is always null so I guess EPiServer hasn't been started yet.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
