How do I go to Forms edit mode directly

Hi,
I have some blocks that I, in preview mode, want to go to forms edit mode directly. Is it possible?
I have tried to add a jquery click event from the preview page on the mode edit button, to simulate what happens when no renderer exists. I've seen it's possible in 7.5 but not for 7.1 and I have no knowledge of Dijit or Dojo.
