Could you make some methods virtual?
Short answer - no.
The reason is that we will break binary compatibility by changing methods to virtual. What we can do is to implement a few new, virtual, methods and let the old ones delegate to the new methods. No promises - the schedule for CMS 6 is pretty tight, but I'll look into it.

It would really be appreciated. There aren’t much use of the Current set method else :)

Can see from the last build 6.0.452.2 that this haven't made this release :(
