Episerver - update 226

New releases of Episerver Forms and Page View Tracking for Advance. Bug fixes for Visitor Group Criteria pack and Self-Optimizing Block add-ons.

The update applies to Episerver projects version 7.5 and higher, and contains finalized work items included in the latest iteration. Continuous release updates are cumulative to include previous updates. Episerver supports all platform updates and strongly recommends that you keep ongoing projects up-to-date. You can install the updates from the Episerver NuGet feed

Main packages
This release information lists updated main package versions for the Episerver platform. When a release is built, other dependent packages also may be bumped to new versions, although they contain no publicly visible changes. This is done to avoid dependency errors. When you upgrade, NuGet alerts you to upgrade related packages to the required versions. For Commerce, it is important to ensure that you are running the same version of CMS and Commerce, both in the front-end and back-end applications.

Technical note: From version 1.1, user data will be set by/on UserDataTrackingDataInterceptor (with SortOrder 210). For any custom TrackingDataInterceptor, we recommend setting its SortOrder to >=1000.

Episerver Forms

  • EPiServer.Forms 4.15.0
    New feature:
    • AFORM-1499: Editors can now build dynamic form field dependencies
You can now hide or show a field based on input to another form field. You create rules for field elements on a new Dependencies tab in the element properties.

This feature makes it possible to create a customer satisfaction survey that displays additional questions depending on how a visitor answers. So, if a visitor answers "Food" to the question "What's your favorite thing about the Coffee House?", an additional question is displayed, "Which food do you like in particular?". That question is not displayed if the visitor picks any of the other options for the first question. To set up a survey like this, see the draft PDF documentation.
