Release notes for Optimizely CMS and Customized Commerce updates

This topic lists Optimizely updates, delivered as NuGet packages and services. You decide which updates apply to your project.

Select a product, package, or service in the left menu, and then select one of the following filters from Item type and click Filter.

  • Bug – Display bug fixes.
  • Critical bug – Display only critical bug fixes.
  • Feature –  Display only new features (all features).
  • UI Feature – Display only end-user (user interface) features.

Note: NuGet packages listed here may not be immediately available in the Optimizely NuGet feed.

  CSR UI: Prepopulate fields on the Add new address screen

When I click Accept Payment > Billing Address > Add new address, I see fields for first and last name. Please retrieve the first and last names from the Customer name field and fill them into these fields. The values should be editable because sometimes you're shipping an item to someone else. But in most cases, populating those fields with previously-collected customer information would save a step.

Also, once I enter a zip code and country, you should be able to populate the State field.

  Bad exception handling in OrderGroupWorkflowManager.RunWorkflow

OrderGroupWorkflowManager.RunWorkflow takes a parameter to indicate if it should throw exception or not. However, this is less than optimal:

  • It should log the exception as an error, or at a least warning, not debug.
  • It should log the exception regardless of the flag.

This makes debugging problems in Commerce Manager very cumbersome because it actively hides exceptions that happen in the workflows.

  After deleting an asset, catalog item page is blank

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a node/product/variant.
2. Add an asset with mediaA.
3. Go to the Media library.
4. Move mediaA to the trash.
5. View the trash.
6. Click Delete on mediaA's row.
7. View the node/product/variant page.

Expected:
Page loads normally

Actual:

  • Blank page for product and variant.
  • On the node page, if you select All Properties, it returns blank.
  • Go to the other page. It returns blank until you refresh it.

  Possible to create contacts with duplicate email addresses

A contact's email address is considered unique. However, we only check that when editing the contact in Commerce Manager, not when creating it programmatically.
